If you follow wrestling, you’re probably aware of the legal battle swirling around Vince McMahon. Ms. Janel Grant, who used to work for WWE, has taken legal action against McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis, alleging sexual harassment and trafficking.
Recently, Ms. Grant and her lawyer made public 67 pages of legal documents, shedding light on some disturbing incidents. It’s claimed that McMahon not only subjected her to physical abuse but also inflicted mental harm. Surprisingly, the documents even mention involvement from Brock Lesnar, a former champ in both WWE and UFC.
According to Ms. Grant, McMahon coerced her into sending explicit material to Lesnar and even shared her phone number with him. Lesnar then contacted her, asking for more. She was supposed to meet Lesnar in 2022, but the encounter never happened. Later, McMahon fired Ms. Grant after his wife found out about their relationship. There’s a detailed article on Lesnar’s alleged involvement and McMahon’s actions.
Recently, McMahon officially announced his departure from TKO Group and stated that he’s no longer linked with WWE or TKO Group.
Reports suggest that WWE had plans for Lesnar’s return at Royal Rumble 2024. However, after his name surfaced in McMahon’s case, WWE scrapped those plans swiftly. Additionally, companies associated with WWE and Lesnar are distancing themselves from him.
Reports from PWInsider indicate that WWE is making changes regarding Lesnar. He’s been removed from the cover of WWE 2K24 Legends edition, and there are rumors that he might be removed from WWE 2K Supercard Game too. WWEShop has slashed prices on almost all Lesnar merchandise, signaling a shift in their approach.
A report from Wrestling Observer outlined Lesnar’s planned trajectory from Royal Rumble 2024 to WrestleMania 40. He was supposed to enter the Royal Rumble match and be eliminated by Dirty Dominik Mysterio. Later, he was set to face Mysterio at Elimination Chamber 2024, and for WrestleMania 40, he was scheduled to take on Gunther.
